Each year, on the occasion of Morris Loeb’s birthday, The Chemists’ Club continues to meet in his honor to host its annual general meeting. Congregation of the club's trustees and president is always time of reflection and celebration over the prior year's events, steering the club for the upcoming year. This event is by invitation, and is hosted in the Chemists' Club Building on 41st St.
After the meeting, trustees and guests are invited for a reception commemorating Prof. Loeb. Centerpiece for the evening is a bronze bust of Prof. Loeb, transported to the Benjamin Steakhouse from its housing at the Department of Chemistry, New York University. This event is one of the club highlights, dating back 155 years.
